FUNERAL
The Sikh funeral ceremony is an Antam Sanskaar. It celebrates the soul's reunion with Vaheguru rather than grief. It includes paath recitations and concludes with Ardaas, It emphasises the cyclical nature of life and the soul's journey.
We require at least 4 weeks notice to prepare arrangements for the Antam Sanskaar.
This service is conducted in the Bibi Nanaki Kendar.
Weekdays only from 09:00.
FURTHER INFORMATION
Akhand Paaths are not conducted at Guru Nanak Gurdwara Camberley as we encourage sangat to read Guru Granth Sahib Ji independently and understand/contemplate its teachings.
We are currently not taking bookings for Anand Karaj.
If you would like to book your own Kirtan Jatha for your program, please inform us at least 2 weeks before so we may complete a jatha vetting as part of our procedure.
If you would like us to arrange Kirtan, please note it will be our Gurdwara Giani Ji. If you would like an external jatha they may require separate payment.
Please note when Ardaas is conducted, Giani Ji will not mention specific names. This is because we believe that ardaas should be conducted in sangat roop, and that Guru Sahib is all-knowing and will already know everyone's ardaas,
We do not charge for paath services, however, the only fees that may be applicable are if an external Kirtan Jatha are required (as stated previously). Additionally, there may be separate fees for langar.
